Ukelyptus is a company with branches in Canberra and Sydney providing ukulele resources, woodwind, brass, workshops and ensemble leadership to enthusiasts of all levels in a welcoming, community environment. With extensive experience in business, education and performance, Ukelyptus makes the opportunity to play in a stage-band available to everyone through the magic of the ukulele. We even assign Strum Chums from Ukelyptus to guide beginners through their first few sessions.

Not just Hawaiian but an instrument of the World

While it has both Portuguese and Hawaiian beginnings, the ukulele is by no means restricted to these styles of music. Enthusiasts from around the world are now discovering the versatility of this cool little instrument and its ability to suit a wide variety of genres including rock ‘n roll, pop and folk.

The versatility and accessibility of the ukulele has made it so popular that internationally, supply is now struggling to keep up with demand. Not since the guitar of the 60s has the world seen such a boom in any one instrument… and the bubble is far from bursting.

Event Management

Ukelyptus a proud sponsor and the event manager for the Canberra Ukulele Festival of Fun (The CUFF) held at the Tuggeranong Arts Centre in Canberra. The CUFF 2012 is set for the weekend of October 19th 2012.
